General Information and Academic Administration 1.1 School Profile Udon Thani Rajabhat University (UDRU) the host school for this practicum, is a prestigious institution located in the heart of Udon Thani Province, Thailand. The university was established in 1923, and is known as one of the fastest growing universities with a total of over 22,000 students and 2,000 members of teaching force and university staff. The University was headed by the university president Dr. Khanisara Thanyasunthornsakun. The university supports the educational field through offering various courses such as bachelor of engineering which includes Electronic Engineering and Automation Systems, Computer and Communication Engineering, etc., Bachelor of Arts which includes; English, Business English,etc., Bachelor of Science which includes Agri-business, veterinary technology,etc., and Graduate level majoring in master of education in educational administration, curriculum and instructions, etc. Master of Arts majoring in development strategy, teaching English to speakers of other languages,etc. Master of Science majoring in Agricultural Resource and Environmental management. They also offers Master of Business Administration, master of public health program and doctor of philosophy majoring in educational administration, etc. Bachelor of economics, Bachelor of Communication Arts, Bachelor of Business Administration and under their faculty education they offer courses like Thai language, English language, music education and a lot more. Inside the university is consist of buildings which includes the room for learning, gymnasiums, university dormitory, sport's ground, canteens, restaurants,etc. The university also includes the primary and secondary schools. The good thing is that the university itself has separate dorms and learning areas for male and female students. The students pay 10,850 THB per semester for faculty of management science, faculty of education and faculty of humanities and social sciences. 13, 350 TBH per semester for faculties under science, technology and additional payment is added per semester for engineering program which cost 5,000 TBH added and for civil architecture program is 3,000TBH is being added. For Graduate level the admission fee is 4,800 TBH, lecture credit is 1,000 TBH per credit and for Lab credit is 1,200 TBH per credit. The dormitory fee per semester is 11, 500 TBH for 4 people this includes the fan and Aircon fee with 300 TBH key deposit annually. In order to graduate the student is required to complete between 178 to 188 credits based on their program's requirements.

These opportunities allow educators to learn about various ethical principles in education and to develop effective teaching pedagogies to implement in their classrooms. As a result, UDRU teachers are well-equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to address various challenges they may encounter in their teaching practice. In addition, UDRU employs a mentorship system where new teachers are paired with experienced colleagues. This initiative helps newcomers learn essential skills and classroom management techniques in a real-world setting. The university recognizes the importance of technology in modern education and offers numerous resources and training to promote innovative teaching methods, moving beyond traditional approaches. To further assist teachers, the university provides classroom assistants who help create learning materials, grade assignments, and supervise students. This support reduces teachers’ workloads, allowing them to focus more on lesson planning and preparation. UDRU is also committed to supporting learners with special needs, offering tailored instructional strategies and language assistance for students needing help with English language skills, thereby fostering a diverse classroom environment. In terms of technological support, the university offers faculty members access to computer labs, hardware, and more. The university's E-Learning Platform enables students to engage in online learning, while teachers can deliver online courses effectively. UDRU also provides support for academic programs, including curriculum development, accreditation, and scheduling. Additionally, student services encompass admissions, registration, and accommodation, which requires a reasonable fee per school regulations. The university actively involves the community as a vital partner in its initiatives. Engaging in various outreach activities and fostering collaboration between parents and the school enables the community to play a significant role in the ongoing development and progress of the institution. “The backbone of teaching supports the spine of education” 1.3 Teaching System When I stepped onto the campus of Udon Thani Rajabhat University, I immediately felt excited and curious. I was really looking forward to checking out the teaching system at this well-known school in northeastern Thailand. My adventure kicked off at the Faculty of Education, where I met a group of passionate instructors who love what they do. They told me that the university focuses on a student-centered approach, which means they prioritize active learning, critical thinking, and problem-solving. The teachers use all sorts of methods to keep students engaged, including lectures, discussions, group work, and hands-on activities. Plus, they make great use of technology by incorporating digital tools to enhance learning. While observing some classes, I was amazed by how involved the students were. They felt free to ask questions, share their thoughts, and take charge of their learning. The instructors were supportive and offered helpful feedback to guide students toward their goals. I also discovered how much the university values community involvement. Students get to participate in projects that really benefit the local area, like teaching English to primary school kids or contributing to sustainable agriculture initiatives.The whole teaching setup is backed by great resources and facilities, from modern classrooms to libraries and computer labs. Students have access to various services, including academic advising, counseling, and career support. Looking back on my time at Udon Thani Rajabhat University, it was clear how dedicated they are to providing a top-notch education that's engaging and all about the students. The teaching system here is truly impressive, and I'm glad I got to experience it up close.





“The Guiding torches that illuminates the lives of students ” 1.4 Others As I embarked on my journey through Udon Thani Rajabhat University, I was captivated by the extensive range of support services available, all tailored to address the varied and diverse needs of the student body. It became increasingly clear that the university is dedicated to fostering a holistic educational environment that transcends mere academic learning. One of the initial support services I discovered was the Academic Advising Center. This center serves as a pivotal resource for students, offering personalized guidance on course selection, academic planning, and long-term career development strategies. The advisors, equipped with a wealth of knowledge about the university's programs and policies, were approachable and dedicated, ensuring that students could make informed decisions regarding their academic trajectories. They assisted not only in choosing the right courses to meet degree requirements but also in exploring various academic fields that align with students' career aspirations. Following this, I visited the Counseling Services Center, where I learned about the confidential counseling and mental health resources offered to students. The professionally trained counselors created a welcoming and non-judgmental atmosphere, encouraging students to openly discuss their mental health concerns and personal challenges. They addressed a wide array of issues, including stress management, anxiety, relationship difficulties, and academic pressures. The center also provided workshops and support groups, empowering students to develop coping strategies and foster resilience. My exploration took me next to the Career Development Center, an essential hub for students preparing to enter the workforce. This center offered an array of resources aimed at enhancing students’ employability. Services included resume-building workshops, mock job interviews, and personalized career counseling sessions. Additionally, the center maintained partnerships with local businesses and organizations, providing students with job placement services and internship opportunities, thereby facilitating a smooth transition from academia to professional life. In my pursuit of understanding the financial support available, I delved into the university's financial aid resources. The Scholarship Office was particularly helpful, offering comprehensive information about scholarships, fellowships, and grants. Staff members actively assisted students in identifying suitable financial aid opportunities and guided them through the application process, ensuring they had access to funds necessary for completing their education. The Financial Aid Office complemented these services by helping students understand and navigate student loans and grants, alleviating the financial burdens often associated with higher education.. As I continued my exploration of Udon Thani Rajabhat University, I stumbled upon the Student Health Services Center, an essential facility dedicated to promoting wellness among students. This center provided a wide range of medical services, including routine check-ups, vaccinations, and health education workshops focused on prevention and wellness. Furthermore, the center offered specialized health counseling services and stress management programs, acknowledging the critical link between physical and mental health in achieving academic success. The university's commitment to inclusivity was exemplified by the resources available through the Disability Support Services Center. This center offered tailored accommodations designed to support students with disabilities in their academic pursuits. Services included accessibility solutions such as wheelchair ramps, assistive technology for learning, and specialized academic accommodations like extended exam time or note-taking assistance. The staff worked diligently to create a supportive and inclusive environment for all students, ensuring that everyone had the opportunity to succeed. Lastly, I visited the International Student Office, which provided crucial assistance specifically designed for international students facing unique challenges in their educational journeys. The office offered comprehensive support with visa applications, housing arrangements, and cultural adaptation initiatives. Language support programs were also available, helping students overcome language barriers and thrive in their new academic environment. Through workshops and social events, this office facilitated connections among international students, fostering a sense of community and belonging. Reflecting on the remarkable range of support services offered by Udon Thani Rajabhat University, I was deeply impressed by the institution's unwavering commitment to providing a holistic education. From academic advising and mental health support to career development and financial assistance, the university's extensive resources were thoughtfully designed to empower students and help them thrive in every aspect of their university experience.
